Our clinic is open Monday to Thursday from 8am – 5pm and Friday from 8am – 5pm.

If your problem is the result of an accident,  ACC can help pay for your injury whether it happened at home, work or on the sports field.  ACC define an accident as “a sudden event”, so when you complete the form you must be able to describe the event, the time and place where the injury occurred. 

ACC reduced the full funding for physiotherapy in 2009 which means our clinic now needs to charge a small co payment to cover the cost of your treatment.  See our fees for more information.

ACC will inform you and our Clinic if your claim has been declined.  We will then charge you the Private Fee less the co payment already paid.  If you wish to continue with treatment you will be charged the Private Fee. 

We require payment of all treatment fees and costs of materials used or purchased after each consultation.  We accept Cash and Eftpos.  Cheques, Visa, Mastercard and Activa Credit cards may be used but attract an additional $1 per transaction.

If ACC decline your claim you will be charged the Private fee.

If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment you may be charged a “Did Not Arrive” fee.

There is an additional charge for acupuncture needles, strapping tape and the hire of TENS machines.

Your Physiotherapist can apply to ACC for further treatments if they feel you would benefit from more treatments. There is a small cost for filling out the Application to ACC.

Yes, you are able to change your physiotherapist.  We do however, need your ACC claim number to consult with ACC as to how many treatments are available. 

We allow thirty minutes for each treatment. Your first appointment will include an Initial Assessment of your injury or condition, and will involve setting goals and outcomes of what you want to achieve from the treatments.  At each follow-up treatment we will reassess your pain response and/or home exercise program.  If your therapist feels you would benefit from a longer consultation he or she will discuss this with you.

We may charge a Non-Attendance Fee when you fail to attend an appointment without notice of cancellation.  Please ring us if you are unable to attend so another patient can use your appointment time.

Yes.  It will be helpful to bring any letters, x-rays or medical history correspondence you may have to the Initial appointment. The physiotherapist can request the x-ray report from the x-ray facility if required.

Please bring your referrals from GP’s/Specialists, x-ray films/x-ray CD’s or any other information from this injury or previous treatments and a list of long term medication.  Wear loose clothing so that your injured area is easily accessible to your Physiotherapist. 

If you do require reading glasses, please remember to bring your own, as there is a Registration Form to complete before treatment can proceed.

Legally only a Medical Practitioner can supply you with a Medical Certificate for time of work.  We can communicate with your GP or your Case Manager if you have one, if this is appropriate.
 

Yes.  Please request your physiotherapist when you make the Initial appointment.

Yes.  You are able to have physiotherapy treatments on the same ACC claim number.  The number of treatments you are able to use will depend on the diagnosis given on the Initial ACC claim form.  Treatments do have an expiry date so please discuss this when you make the appointment.

Yes, our Clinic has a ramp up to the front door and there is a mobility park available in our car park. The toilet is also wheelchair accessible.

We do not treat complex neurological, respiratory and women’s health issues.  We will however, refer you to a Service Provider with the specific expertise you require.  We do not have an ACC Contract for Return to Work Programmes in gyms.
